Swire Properties names Andy Wong as deputy director of public affairs

Swire Properties (1972) announced on Thursday that Andy Wong will succeed May Lam-Kobayashi as its new deputy director of public affairs, effective from May 1 this year.

Wong will be responsible for corporate communications, including external and internal communications, as well as overseeing the company's social investment strategy.

He was a general manager of corporate affairs at the Cathay Group before his appointment, where he led corporate communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and government affairs, and has held numerous senior management roles in Hong Kong and overseas.

Lam-Kobayashi will take on a senior role at John Swire & Sons (H.K.), the operational headquarters for the Swire Group.

Tim Blackburn, the chief executive of Swire Properties, expressed the company's gratitude to Lam-Kobayashi for her valuable contributions and wished her success in her new role within the Swire Group.
