AAC Technologies (2018), one of Apple's suppliers, reported on Thursday that its net profit rose 39.8 percent to 2.51 billion yuan (HK$2.86 billion), driven mainly by continued improvements in the profitability of the optics business and the expanding contribution from higher-margin segments.
The company declared a final dividend of HK$0.35 per share, up 45.8 percent year‑on‑year.
Revenue reached a record high, increasing 16.4 percent to 31.82 billion yuan.
In its statement, the company said, "the AI wave is profoundly reshaping the global industrial landscape, driving a generational leap in human‑machine interaction paradigms.”
"Against this backdrop, the group is accelerating its strategic transformation from a component supplier to a builder of AI perception infrastructure," the company added.
