Sunny Optical plans to spin off and list automotive optics unit

Sunny Optical Technology (2382) announced on Monday that it plans to spin off the group's vehicle-related optical businesses and seek a separate listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Sunny Optical is principally engaged in the design, research and development, manufacture and sale of optical and optoelectronic products, with a core focus on lenses and optical modules used in consumer electronics, automotive and other smart device applications.

The announcement shows that the vehicle-related optical business primarily provides a wide range of advanced optical products, focusing on automotive applications, including in-vehicle lenses and modules.
