China's central bank vows to keep yuan forex rate stable, boost demand

China’s central bank pledged to stabilise market expectations and keep the exchange rate “basically stable at a reasonable and balanced level”, a meeting readout released on Wednesday showed.

The People’s Bank of China’s monetary policy committee also called for balancing supply and demand and maintaining stability in the capital market.

The PBOC also vowed to drive stable economic growth and a reasonable recovery in prices.
