Macau's gaming revenue back to pre-pandemic level in August

Macau's gaming revenue reached 22.16 billion patacas (HK$21.51 billion) in August, marking the highest level since the end of 2019. 

The figure rose 12.2 percent year-on-year. This represents the seventh consecutive month of growth, with a slight month-on-month increase of 0.1 percent.

But the year-on-year growth rate slowed by 6.8 percentage points compared to July. 

Total gaming revenue for the first eight months of the year amounted to 163.05 billion patacas, up 7.2 percent year-on-year. The growth rate accelerated by 0.7 percentage points compared to the January–July period.
