Jay Chou Douyin buzz lifts Star Plus Legend stock

Star Plus Legend (6683), founded by Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou’s mother, jumped 1.66 times, following mainland reports on Chou opening an account in Bytedance’s Douyin.

Staff of the sister version in mainland China of TikTok have denied rumors that the signing fee is as high as hundreds of millions yuan. 

The account recorded 50,000 new fans in ten minutes amid Chou’s fame in mainland China, mainland media reports.
