Chinese companies offer paid leave to commemorate parade marking 80th anniversary of War of Resistance victory

In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance, a military parade was held in Beijing on Wednesday. In response to the significant event, several companies across various regions in China, including Gansu, Guangzhou, and Chongqing, provided employees with paid leave to watch the parade. 

Moreover, a firm located in Guangdong announced a collective activity that involved viewing the film "731," which addresses Japan's wartime atrocities in China. Participation in the activity was mandatory for all employees.

Additionally, a technology company based in Guangdong took the initiative to prepare a festive meal, featuring roast whole lamb, in the office for employees to enjoy while watching the parade on TV. 

The company clarified that there would be no deductions from salaries; however, it emphasized the requirement for all employees to be present during the event.
