37-year-old Chinese actor Alan Yu Menglong falls to his death

The official studio of Chinese actor Alan Yu Menglong announced that Yu fell to his death on Thursday (Sep 11), and foul play has been ruled out after police investigation.

The rumor of Yu falling from a building has gone viral on Weibo, and there has been no denial from the actor or relevant parties.

The incident was first mentioned in a post by a Weibo user, who claimed Yu had dinner with friends on Wednesday (Sep 10) and went to sleep around 2am on Thursday, locking his door. His friends found him lying unconscious on the ground floor at around 6am. 

The post was deleted later that afternoon.

A news report in the mainland noted that Yu last updated his social media on September 8 and was active on Weibo at 9pm on Wednesday. 

Yu, born in 1988 in Urumqi, Xinjiang, is a actor, singer, and MV director. He gained his fame after finishing 10th in the Chinese singing contest "Super Boy" in 2013 and has appeared in productions like "Go Princess Go," a hit love drama "Eternal Love" and "Love Game in Eastern Fantasy."
