Clear Eyes Maximum Itchy Eye Relief eye drops are being voluntarily recalled across the United States due to concerns over sterility and potential contamination, the Food and Drug Administration said.
The recall, initiated on July 29, affects 39,060 bottles of the 15ml product with batch number 2552A and expiration date of September 30, 2027. The over-the-counter product was sold at major retailers including Walmart, Target, CVS and Kroger.
The FDA classified the action as a Class II recall, meaning use may cause temporary or reversible health problems with a low probability of serious effects.
Parent company Prestige said no injuries have been reported and the recall does not affect other Clear Eyes products. Consumers are advised to stop using the affected batch and seek refunds.
