Manager Erik ten Hag believes Manchester United will work their way out of an early-season crisis after facing questions over whether he fears losing his job.
United have lost six of their last nine matches after they were beaten 3-2 at home by Turkish side Galatasaray in Champions League Group A despite two goals from Rasmus Hojlund.
United have lost their opening two games of the Champions League group stage for the first time and are also off to their worst-ever start to a Premier League season after losing four of seven matches.
"Last season went brilliant, terrific," said Ten Hag, who had led the club back into the Champions League by finishing third in the Premier League and lifted the League Cup in his first season in charge.
"In this moment we are in a very difficult period but we will come out together. We are fighting together, we stick together."
Two weeks after his handling error played a part in United's 4-3 defeat at Bayern Munich, goalkeeper Andre Onana's slack pass straight to Dries Mertens proved crucial, as Brazilian Casemiro dived in to bring the Galatasaray forward down and was shown a second yellow card at 77 minutes.
Mauro Icardi fired the resulting penalty wide, but made amends four minutes later by dinking the ball over Onana for the winner.
Elsewhere, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said he is worried about Bukayo Saka's availability for Sunday's league game against Manchester City after the forward went off injured in the first half of their 2-1 Group B defeat at French side Lens.
