(Video) Coach driver blasted by traffic officer for illegal turn in Happy Valley

A video circulating online on Sunday showed a tour bus illegally turning left onto Blue Pool Road from Tsoi Tak Street in Happy Valley, getting stuck at the narrow junction due to its length and nearly mounting the pavement, causing serious traffic disruption.

The bus was carrying passengers. Traffic signs on Tsoi Tak Street prohibit vehicles longer than 8 metres from turning left. When a traffic officer on a motorcycle arrived, he used his loudspeaker to order the driver to reverse, scolding him: "Reverse! Are you an idiot?"

The officer then told the driver to return to the correct road and stop further ahead for investigation. The incident lasted over a minute before the driver manoeuvred back with the help of a van giving way, and traffic gradually returned to normal.

Netizens widely supported the officer, saying he was right to scold the driver and that the driver must have ignored the signs.
