Father, 75, arrested for stabbing son over stool dispute in Tuen Mun

A 75-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday night for allegedly stabbing his 46-year-old son during a dispute over a stool at their Tuen Mun flat, police said.

Police received a report from a woman at 8.05pm that her son had been assaulted at a unit in Fung Yu House, Sam Shing Estate. The 46-year-old son had argued with his father during dinner over a stool before the father allegedly attacked him with a 10-centimetre knife, injuring his chest. The son later took himself to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.

The father was arrested on suspicion of wounding and is being detained for investigation. The case is being handled by the Tuen Mun district criminal investigation team.
