Woman jumps into sea after quarrel with boyfriend in Tai Kok Tsui, rescued with lifebuoy

A woman in her 20s was rescued by her boyfriend after she jumped into the sea following a quarrel on Monday night in Tai Kok Tsui, police said.

The couple, both in their 20s, were arguing at a park on Hoi Fai Road outside One SilverSea over relationship, family and work issues around 11pm when the woman suddenly jumped into the water.

Her boyfriend quickly threw a lifebuoy to her. She grabbed it and he pulled her back to shore.

Police arrived with a marine police vessel but found the woman already on land, conscious. She was taken by ambulance to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment. Her boyfriend stayed at the scene to assist police.
