Police have seized drugs worth about HK$3.2 million and arrested a 22-year-old woman during an anti-narcotics operation in Tun Mun.
Narcotics Bureau officers conducted the operation in Lam Tei on Monday, confiscating approximately 3.2 kilograms of suspected crack cocaine and ketamine.
A local woman surnamed Wong was arrested on suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs.
She remains in custody and will be charged with two counts of trafficking in dangerous drugs. Her case will be heard at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts on Tuesday morning.
Police reiterated that drug trafficking is a serious offence. Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, anyone convicted is liable to a maximum penalty of a $5 million fine and life imprisonment.
