National day holiday sees over 100,000 passengers enter HK

As of 10am on the first day of the National Day holiday, more than 100,000 passengers had entered Hong Kong, with 64,300 being mainland visitors, according to the Immigration Department.

Lok Ma Chau was the busiest border, handling 16,208 inbound passengers, while West Kowloon Station saw highest number of mainland travelers at 14,208.

The authorities also recorded 86,000 outbound passengers, of whom 65,000 were Hong Kong residents.
