Tin Shui Wai man stabbed and beaten unconscious by gang

A 30-year-old man is fighting for his life after being set upon by seven men in Tin Shui Wai this morning.

The attack occurred around 5am on Tin Shui Road outside Grandeur Terrace, where the victim, surnamed Cheng, was surrounded and beaten. During the assault, one of the men wielded a knife and slashed at him, leaving Cheng with wounds to his head and hand.

Cheng staggered back to his flat before collapsing. His mother, who found him unconscious, called the police. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Blood was spotted outside Block 2 of Grandeur Terrace trailing into the lift lobby. Security guards reportedly heard a disturbance earlier and alerted the police.

Officers are hunting down the attackers and investigating the motive.
