Jockey Club helps to launch Hong Kong pop star on the global stage

The hunt for a new Hong Kong, China member of global pop group Now United is over! Back in May, The Hong Kong Jockey Club launched a strategic partnership with XIX Entertainment and their first initiative was to bring Now United to Hong Kong to look for a new member. Following a months-long search comprising auditions, Hollywood-level training and intensive bootcamps, it was announced yesterday that Ariel Tsang had emerged victorious. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ariel Tsang will inject new vitality into the group and joins its diverse cast from around the world to perform on the global stage.

Dennis Hau, Executive Director of Customer Strategy, Insights and Innovation at the Club, highlighted the Club's aspiration to become a global sports entertainment brand and noted it has long been committed to youth and talent development. He said the Club's partnership with XIX not only provided young local talent with world-class training and a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but would also convey Hong Kong's story to the world. He added the hope that Tsang would dazzle on the global stage.

Asian superstar Aaron Kwok has taken up a role as HKJC's Rising Stars Ambassador to nurture local talent and inspire young people to follow their dreams. He is a well-known proponent of encouraging performers to shine on stage, in keeping with the Club's commitment to youth and talent development. He expressed the hope that this once-in-a-lifetime Now United initiative would inspire Hong Kong youths to show their passion and talent to the world.

Although the talent search has now ended, Now United's upcoming activities offer fresh grounds for excitement. The members will film a reality YouTube Series and music videos while in Hong Kong, sharing stories with their millions of fans. They will then embark on a world tour before returning to perform at the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races in December. Jessie can't wait to see them perform live at the racecourse!
