Under the theme “Collaborate for Change, Shape a Shared Future,” this year’s Summit will continue to gather senior government officials and business leaders from Belt and Road regions.
During the two-day event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, attendees will exchange insights on multilateral cooperation and explore concrete business opportunities.
"Hong Kong also has a defining role in the Belt and Road Initiative, as its primary platform,” said Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
He noted that Hong Kong can connect various Belt and Road partners by leveraging its economic strengths and local talent, such as facilitating Chinese investments in countries including Hungary.
Last year’s summit attracted more than 6,000 business participants and about 110 exhibitors, as well as over 90 prominent international speakers.
It also facilitated a record-high 25 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), showcasing nearly 300 investment projects and arranging over 800 one-on-one business matchmaking meetings.
The collaboration involves government bodies and companies from Hong Kong, Mainland China, ASEAN countries (including Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam), and the Middle East (including Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates), as well as Kazakhstan and more.
