The incident occurred around 4pm near the Kwai Chung exit toward the Tsuen Wan direction, where two private cars collided.
The impact caused the P-plated vehicle—driven by a female novice driver—to lose control and mount the pavement of a bus transfer station.
Eyewitnesses reported the car's front end sustaining heavy damage with deployed airbags, while the station's railings and stone benches were smashed.
Authorities confirmed the injured included the P-plate driver, a passenger from the other vehicle, and four bystanders at the interchange.
Photographs circulating online showed the crashed car emitting smoke as Good Samaritans assisted two victims before emergency crews arrived.
All casualties were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
