Deep cuts of betrayal: Wife slashes husband after picking up call from mistress

A phone call from a mistress shattered the peace of a family in Kowloon Tong, leading to a violent confrontation that left the husband wounded and his wife arrested.

The incident occurred at Royal Magnolia on Magnolia Road around 1am on Wednesday, where 41-year-old Lee confronted her husband after answering his phone, which had been left charging in their son's room.

According to reports, the caller identified herself as her husband's girlfriend, revealing the extramarital affair. 

In a fit of rage, Lee allegedly attacked her husband with a glass bottle, causing a neck injury and bleeding from the head, prompting their son to intervene and call for help.

Rescue workers arrived on the scene and found Wong in a semi-conscious state, rushing him to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment.

After a preliminary investigation, the officers arrested Lee on suspicion of assault.

Sources revealed that Wong, a businessman, has been married to Lee for over ten years and they have a 13-year-old son together, of which Lee remained unaware about the affair until the mistress's call came in.

The case has been handed over to the Sham Shui Po Police District Investigation Team for further investigation.
