Reservations for the first two rounds to board the aircraft carrier Shandong from July 5 to 6 were gone in a flash—snatched up in under a minute when tickets were released on Monday.
However, interested citizens still have a chance to reserve tickets through the official WeChat account of the Hong Kong Garrison at 10am, 3pm and 8pm daily.
The Shandong Aircraft Carrier Task Group is scheduled to visit the city from July 3 to 7, with public tours planned for the weekend of July 5 and 6, providing an opportunity to glimpse the warship and its weaponry.
Among the 10,000 tickets, 2,000 are allocated for the aircraft carrier Shandong, while the remaining 8,000 are designated for both the destroyer Zhanjiang and the frigate Yuncheng.
When the second round of reservations became available at 3 pm, some users reported receiving a message stating, "Current queue numbers are high," which prevented them from booking.
