Tourism Commissioner Angelina Cheung Fung Wing-ping told a television program that the Hong Kong Tourism Board's upcoming digital map will adopt a theme park-style approach, displaying live wait times and activity information across various attractions.

The system will incorporate AI technology to generate personalized itineraries based on travelers' preferences, she said.
"The concept of 'tourism everywhere' means visitors are exploring districts across the territory," Cheung said, explaining the selection process for included locations.
She also noted that the attractions will be considered based on their current popularity among tourists.

The AI trip planner will analyze user-input interests - whether culinary, cultural or outdoor activities - to suggest optimized routes and experiences. Queue time displays aim to help visitors better manage their schedules at busy sites.
Officials expect the map, currently in development, to launch next year.
