Celebrate Swiss culture and creativity through a variety of festivities, including art workshops, culinary booths, live graffiti performances and a mini parade in the coming "Swiss Arts Day" on Saturday (Mar 15) organized by the Consulate General of Switzerland.
In collaboration with Peak Tramways Company and The Peak Tower, the Consulate General aims to bring the Basel Carnival spirit to the city to provide Hongkongers with an opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of Basel.
The cultural event comes with a live music performance by Alphorn player Marcel Baerenfaller, the electro-pop band Sophie de Quay and DJ Manaa, hands-on art workshops for kids led by talented local Swiss artists, Swiss food booths indulging in authentic Swiss delicacies to showcase the artistic and culinary traditions that characterize Switzerland.
Furthermore, a miniature version of the famous Basel Festival with a colorful parade will be present around The Peak to provide an immersive experience for the event-goers.
Swiss Arts Day will be held at The Peak from 11am to 6pm on March 15. Guests will be treated to traditional Swiss folk songs during their tram journey to The Peak, enhancing the immersive atmosphere of the event.
