Family members of the 49-year-old man Faisal visited a mortuary in Kwai Chung on Friday morning to identify the body.
A friend of the victim told reporters that the 49-year-old lived with his family at Yat Tung Estate and is the father of the 28-year-old man Faisal Duad, who was severely injured in the horrible New Year’s Day crash.
He also said family members have yet to inform the 28-year-old about his father’s death.
It was understood that the father worked at the airport and had recently returned to Hong Kong after visiting Pakistan to pray for his son. The family also disclosed that the father’s younger brother had passed away years ago in a motorcycle accident in Thailand, and had advised him against riding motorcycles again.
They said the 49-year-old could be driving around the city to ease up his stress, yet the ride ended up in another tragedy.
