Siblings arrested after knife fight over a bed

Police arrested a brother and sister in Mong Kok on Thursday night after getting into a conflict  over the brother sleeping in his sister's bed.

At about 10 pm on Thursday, the siblings had a dispute in an apartment on Shanghai Street.

It is understood that the 14-year-old sister was dissatisfied that her older brother was sleeping in her bed and took out two knives from the kitchen to threaten him.

During the fight between the two, the older brother grabbed the knife, causing his hand to bleed, and he then called the police for help.

The police were called to the scene and arrested the sister for possessing an offensive weapon, while the brother was arrested for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The two were sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment.

The case was handed over to the Mong Kok Police District for follow-up.
