The night at Hong Kong Disneyland was filled with enchanting melodies as Lang Lang, the world-leading pianist, took the stage at the Castle of Magical Dreams.

Renowned musician Chiu Tsang-hei conducts the mesmerizing performance. Lang Lang, alongside a talented string quartet, seamlessly blended timeless Disney music with breathtaking visual effects, captivating storytelling, and innovative projection mapping techniques.
"I'm thrilled that my dream of performing live in front of a Disney castle come true tonight at Hong Kong Disneyland," Lang Lang expressed his excitement for having his first solo live in Disney. "The stories and music of Disney have played a significant role in my childhood and inspired my musical journey."
The world of nostalgia mesmerized the guests as they embarked on a 45-minute unforgettable musical journey.
The concert was inspired by the theme song 'Love the Memory' from the Nighttime Spectacular 'Momentous.' It showcased a remarkable repertoire of 14 beloved Disney classics, including iconic tunes such as 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight?' from The Lion King, the empowering anthem of 'Let it Go' from Frozen and the well-known 'It's a Small World.'
The concert began with Mickey Mouse gracing the stage, setting the tone for this magical experience. As Lang Lang skilfully brought each note back to life, the Disney characters made their appearance one by one.
From the ethereal Elsa from the Frozen films to the spirited Miguel from Coco and even the timeless love story of Belle and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, these cherished characters added an extra layer of charm and familiarity to the performance.
Lang Lang Inspires Young Talents with his Music Journey
After the concert, Lang Lang took the time to connect with around 10 young, passionate talents. The exclusive session enables exceptional individuals from local schools and community organizations to interact with this world-class pianist.
Among the chosen few were Bells, a wish child from Make-A-Wish Hong Kong; Lee Hin, a visually impaired musician from the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong; and Ray, an award-winning form 1 student from HKFYG Lee Shau Kee College.
Three aspiring pianists eagerly awaited the opportunity to meet their idol face-to-face.
Music has always been a huge part of their life, and the piano is their companion whenever they overcome hardship.
"I have been playing piano for 10 years and I was diagnosed with cancer twice." Bells said. "It was, of course, a hard time."
"But playing the piano makes me feel hopeful. I wish to spread this happiness to children and help those who are in need with my music."
"I feel like music chose me, as my eyesight is a constraint," said Lee Hin, "Tonight, meeting Lang Lang is so surreal to me."
"Getting to interact with him, I've learned that I do not need eyes to be fully functional to look at the chords. I'll keep perseverance and motivation to pursue my music journey." Lee continued.
During this intimate gathering, Lang Lang graciously shared his personal experiences and insights gained from performing on the international stage.
"To me, everything is music," Ray stated. "Having to meet Lang Lang and listening to the concert tonight has motivated me to keep thriving on my music journey. After speaking to him today, he taught me to play with my heart."
Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) believes this unique encounter will ignite a spark within these budding talents, inspiring and motivating them to pursue their dreams wholeheartedly.
"Disney songs are always being played, but these are the songs that gather in people's memories." Bells said. "Tonight, has been a great experience for me and I think Lang Lang is a truly hardworking pianist and role model. I will give my best to my performance in March as well."
"With Lang Lang's musical interpretation of classic Disney melodies, accompanied by stunning visual effects and sophisticated storytelling, the concert has brought the already extraordinary entertainment experience in Hong Kong Disneyland to new heights," said managing director Michael Moriarty, expressing his satisfaction with the collaboration.
Lang Lang's willingness to share his music journey with these young talents is a testament to his unwavering commitment to nurture the next generation of musicians.
