If ever you're lucky enough to get posted to New York, consider setting up temporary home at one of Aman New York's two new suites from its collection of 22 privately owned Aman Residences. These two, as well as a few more opening next year, expand the brand's existing selection of 83 suites.

Resting on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street, on the upper floors of the historic Crown Building in which Aman New York resides, each home is designed to offer privacy and comfort for both short-term and extended stays.
The 1,150-sq-ft one-bedroom apartment features floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of the cityscape, while the 3,710-sq-ft three-bedroom one offers sweeping views of Central Park.
The homes are accessed via dedicated elevators from the 14th floor reception area.
As with all Aman residences, space is generous - the expansive open-plan living and dining areas are accompanied by a fully equipped contemporary kitchen and laundry facilities. All bedrooms come with ensuite bathrooms.
Designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston Architects, each suite integrates the hotel's soothing contemporary aesthetic.
Architectural details crafted using organic materials such as oak, walnut, and aromatic cinnamon wood pay homage to Aman's origins in Asia. Working fireplaces provide warmth and are complemented by finishings of bronze, brass and stainless and blackened steel.
One benefit of staying in an Aman home is complimentary use of the hotel car park for nearby drop-offs, in addition to a personal butler.
All overnight guests have access to the hotel's facilities.
These include the three-floor, 25,000 sq-ft Aman Spa and Aman's two signature restaurants, Arva and Nama, which sit alongside the Lounge Bar, subterranean Jazz Club and a collection of alfresco dining terraces.
The building's central location makes it the perfect base for work or adventure. And a concierge team well versed with the area is on hand to help with an in-depth discovery of the Big Apple.
