Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang Jen-Hsun appeared at the Jinde Market in Shanghai yesterday to kick off his routine visit to China, experiencing daily life as a local.
According to Chinese media reports, Huang visited Nvidia's Shanghai office to review 2025 milestones and discussed 2026 product pipelines with staff, but did not discuss details of the H200 chips.
It is reported that Huang will attend New Year's parties and supplier appreciation events of the Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen branches, similar to his visit in January 2025.
Sources said they believe Huang's trip to China was to resolve issues related to chip sales. Foreign media recently cited sources indicating that Chinese officials have informed major tech companies, including Alibaba (9988), that they can prepare to place orders for H200 chips.
