Chinese internet search giant Baidu's (9888) autonomous ride-hailing service Apollo Go will be tested in Europe for the first time amid intense domestic competition, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The company has been in discussions with Switzerland's public bus service provider PostAuto to launch its robotaxi service in Switzerland, the report said.
It also plans to set up a local entity in Switzerland within the coming months, the report added.
Apollo Go will also be debuted in Turkey, WSJ report said.
Last week, Apollo Go updated its trial license and expanded its testing area in Hong Kong, and has racked up more than 14,000 kilometers of safety drives.
Baidu in March also announced plans to launch Apollo Go in Dubai, proposing to deploy over 1000 fully autonomous vehicles.
