Man falls from Castle Peak cliff after clinging to tree branch

A man has fallen from a cliff at Castle Peak in Tuen Mun, leading to a search and rescue operation involving a helicopter on Thursday.

The incident was reported at around 12.10pm when the man was seen clinging to a tree branch and crying for help.

His companion and other hikers immediately reported the incident, but the man subsequently fell from the cliff and disappeared.

Police and firefighters responded to the scene, and the Government Flying Service deployed a helicopter to assist in the ongoing search operation.
