At Man Mo Temple, Yang participated in traditional rituals, first touching the "Wen Chang Scholar's Brush" - believed to enhance academic and examination luck - followed by "Guandi's Blade," symbolizing protection, wealth and warding off evil.
He concluded by applying gold foil to a sacred deer statue, seeking blessings for his upcoming performance.
For lunch, he indulged in classic Cantonese roast meats, including tender cha siu, succulent roasted goose leg, and soy sauce-marinated chicken, each dish highlighting Hong Kong’s culinary mastery.
HKTB executive director Dane Cheng Ting-yat also stopped by to wish Yang success before his performances.
Yang later took in panoramic views aboard the Ngong Ping 360 cable car, enhanced by personalized decals, before visiting the Tian Tan Buddha.
His day ended at Central’s Bar Leone, Asia’s Best Bar in 2024, where he chatted with founder and mixologist Lorenzo Antinori over signature cocktails.
Rising to fame with his sharp-witted comedy and known for his roles in television series Silicon Valley and Interior Chinatown, Yang boasts 2.46 million Instagram followers.
His five-show run from tomorrow to Sunday at the Hong Kong Coliseum marks his first stop on his Asia tour, and a heartfelt return to his roots.
