Hang Seng narrows early trading losses by midday

Hong Kong stocks remained sluggish by midday break.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 67 points, or 0.27 percent, to 25,345 points, with half-day turnover reaching HK$104 billion.

Tech gauge declined 1.1 percent to 4,477 points.

In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index rose14.29 points, or 0.36 percent, to 3,946 points, and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Composite Index edged up 0.05 percent to 13,782 points.
