Hang Seng Index loses 26,000-point mark on Thursday

Hong Kong stocks dropped below 26,000 points on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell by 248 points, or 1 percent, to 25,915 points at close.

The market turnover was HK$255.4 billion.

The Hang Seng Tech Index lost 2 percent to 4,865 points.

In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index dipped 0.32 percent to 4,093 points and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index was down by 0.88 percent to 15,043 points.
