China Unicom's net profit rises 0.98 pc to 20.82 billion yuan last year

China Unicom (0762) reported on Thursday that its net profit increased 0.98 percent to 20.82 billion yuan (HK$23.72 billion) last year.

The company declared a final dividend of 0.13 yuan per share, bringing the full‑year dividend to 0.42 yuan per share, up 3.1 percent year‑on‑year.

Total operating revenue was 392.22 billion yuan, up by 0.7 percent year-on-year, of which, service revenue rose 0.5 percent to 347.74 billion yuan.

The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization was 99.42 billion yuan, and the EBITDA as a percentage of service revenue was 28.6 percent.

The telecoms operator's capital expenditure was 54.2 billion yuan last year.

It noted that the capital expenditure for 2026 is expected to be around 50 billion yuan, of which investment in computing power will account for more than 35 percent.
