HK's home prices rise 4.7 percent last year, ending three-year losing streak: private index

Hong Kong’s existing home prices rose by 4.7 percent last year, reversing the downward trend in the past three years, a private index showed.

Centaline Property Agency’s Centa-City Leading Index increased 0.38 percent week-on-week to 144.11 this week, marking the second highest in more than one and a half years. 

The agency expects prices to rise around 2 percent this quarter amid a low interest rate environment.
