Hong Kong stocks rebounded by Thursday noon

Hong Kong stocks once rebounded to just shy of the 26,000 level by Thursday noon.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 48 points to 25,809 points as of midday, after once tipping 25,871.

The half day turnover recorded HK$92.3 billion.

The tech gauge gained 0.58 percent to 5,567 at noon.

Tech shares delivered mixed performance. Alibaba (9988) and Tencent (0700) dropped 0.26 percent and 0.41 percent, respectively. Xiaomi (1810) rose 2.9 percent.

Meituan (3690) gained 2 percent.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index closed flat at 3,879 points while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.35 percent to 13,000.
