Property tycoon Lo Siu-tong, dies at 90

Lo Siu-tong, a tycoon who founded property developer Yu Tai Hing, died at the age of 90 on January 2, according to an obituary published by his wife Lo Hui Kit-san.

Lo was the 48th richest person in Hong Kong in 2019 with a net worth of US$1.3 billion (HK$10.1 billion), according to Forbes magazine.

His eldest son Alexander Law, owns budget hotel chain Bridal Tea House Hotel. Second son Francis Law Sau-fai is a real estate investor and the owner of the Sunbeam Theatre space. Third son Dennis Law Sau-yiu is the managing director of Yu Tai Hing, who invested and directed films including Fatal Move and The Constable.

Founded in 1966, Yu Tai Hing, the unlisted company has developed over 200 property projects in Hong Kong, including 100 Queen's Road Central office building.
