HKRI Taikoo Hui expects to expand global consumer scenarios after introducing Louis Vuitton's new ship-like landmark The Louis in a key commercial district in Shanghai.
It was a ship-shaped structure combining LV boutiques, Le Café Louis Vuitton restaurant, and the "LV Visionary Journeys" exhibition, inspired by Louis Vuitton's legendary history of creating trunks for transatlantic travel.
Located on West Nanjing Road, "The Louis" features an elegant bow and hull adorned with decorative metallic Monogram patterns, luxurious decks, and a tiered roof resembling classic trunks, showcasing the brand's essence.
Designed in collaboration with the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), the exhibition space spans 1,200 square meters over two floors.
The "Visionary Journeys" exhibition focuses on travel, craftsmanship, fashion, and innovation, highlighting the brand's multifaceted heritage.
From June 26 to 27, "The Louis" hosted a 24-hour exclusive event featuring special experiences such as midnight screenings, morning Tai Chi, chef masterclasses, and poetic salons.
It officially opened to the public on June 28. Visitors could book tours starting from June 25 through the "My LV" WeChat applet.
