Six more residents of Hong Kong, who fell victim to a fraudulent scheme and were held captive in a deception park in Myanmar, have been successfully rescued. Five of them returned to Hong Kong last night, while the remaining individuals arrived this morning.

The Security Bureau said that the released residents stayed in Thailand yesterday and assisted the Thai police in their investigations into victims being lured to Myanmar to engage in illegal work.
He noted that members of the Security Bureau's task force continued to remain in Thailand to assist and accompany the remaining person back to Hong Kong early this morning.
The task force continues to follow up on the remaining three cases of people who have not yet returned to Hong Kong and is doing its utmost to get them back as soon as possible.
Since last year, authorities have received 28 related cases of assistance requests, involving Hong Kong people who said they were detained in Southeast Asian countries and unable to leave. So far, 25 people have been rescued and returned to Hong Kong.
