The dedicated task force established by the Security Bureau to help rescue Hongkongers detained in Southeast Asian countries for illegal work met with the Ministry of Justice of Thailand officials this morning (Jan 13) and visited the Chinese Embassy in Thailand.

They discussed the cases with the representatives of the Ministry of Justice for an hour before meeting the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand Wu Zhiwu in the afternoon.
The task force, led by Undersecretary for Security Michael Cheuk Hau-yip, is comprised of eight members from the Police Force and the Immigration Department.
