Thai man fined HK$15,000 for flare gun

A Thai man, 40, who pleaded guilty to carrying a flare gun without a license at Hong Kong International Airport on January 3, was fined HK$15,000 by the Sha Tin Magistrates' Courts today.

An employee of a money changer, he was arrested after he told a Cathay Pacific staff during check-in that he had a "toy gun.''
