China's northen Hebei province, next door to the capital Beijiing, reported 40 confirmed coronavirus patients and 26 carriers who do not have symptoms, on Tuesday morning.
The total infections now rise to 305.
One infected patient was confirmed from Langfang city which also neighbors Beijing. This is the first case reported outside Shijiazhuang and Xingtai, the two hard-hit cities since the new cluster appeared last week, the China Daily reports.
The infetcions were confirmed in 24 hours on Monday.
Hebei has a total of 305 patients and 227 carriers without symptoms under medical observation, the Hebei health commission said.
Among all confirmed patients, one is suffering an acute illness, nine have severe symptoms and the rest are displaying medium or mild conditions.
Among the newly confirmed patients, 39 are in Shijiazhuang, Hebei's capital, and two were previously diagnosed as non symptomatic carriers.-Photo: Xinhua
