The product’s core features reportedly include smart code completion, support for multiple programming languages, and real-time bug detection and resolution.
The AI IDE is equipped with Doubao-1.5-pro, ByteDance’s self-developed large language model, and supports switching between DeepSeek R1 and V3 models.
The company had launched Trae overseas before the Chinese New Year – integrating models such as OpenAI's GPT-4o and Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet – garnering attention from developers.
The domestic version released on Monday has been optimized for China’s development environment and user habits, the company's tech team said in its WeChat statement.
