SPDR Gold Trust holdings rise to 1,042 tons

SPDR Gold Trust, the world's largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, said its holdings increased by 0.6 percent to 1042.92 tons on Friday from 1,037.09 tons on Thursday. In terms of ounces, holdings increased to 33,530,858 from 33,343,576.
