Veteran pollster Robert Chung Ting-yiu, who heads the Hong Kong Public Opinion Research Institute, was again taken away by national security police on Monday morning for questioning, according to sources.
It was understood that Robert Chung was escorted from his home to the Wan Chai police station this morning.
The pollster was first taken by national security police on January 13 for allegedly aiding an absconder.

He is being accused of aiding PORI's former deputy executive director, Chung Kim-wah, who moved to the United Kingdom in 2022 and was among six wanted activists named by police last December for allegedly contravening the national security law.
National security police also questioned Chung Kim-wah's wife and son.

National security police have been investigating the flow of Chung Kim-wah's funds. He was accused of repeatedly advocating Hong Kong's independence on social media and calling for foreign sanctions against Beijing and Hong Kong between 2020 and 2023.
National security police placed a HK$1 million bounty on him last month.
