Lengthy waits at hospital A&E departments of more than 8 hours over rising flu and Covid cases

Multiple emergency units in hospitals are seeing waiting times exceeding eight hours on Tuesday.

As of 9am this morning, nine out of 18 public hospitals have recorded more than eight hours of waiting time in the Accident and Emergency Services Department, including Queen Elizabeth Hospital, United Christian Hospital, Pok Oi Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, Tin Shui Wai Hospital, Tseung Kwan O Hospital, Tuen Mun Hospital, and Yan Chai Hospital.

The waiting time at Kwong Wah Hospital and North Lantau Hospital have also exceeded seven hours.
