Cheung, who visited the former secretary-general of the now-disbanded Demosisto on Saturday, said Wong's condition was "alright."
Cheung, who represents the social welfare sector, wrote on Facebook that in the confinement room, lights were on for 24 hours a day and Wong's blood pressure was measured every four hours.
"[Wong] said it is a relief to finally leave the prison within a prison," Cheung wrote.
Wong told Cheung he felt less powerless and more relaxed in prison because he did not have to face the pressure of continuous interviews.
"[Wong] said when the time comes, the campaign will be back," Cheung wrote.
Meanwhile, Alvin Yeung Ngok-kiu, Dennis Kwok Wing-hang and Tanya Chan have left the pro-democracy Civic Party's executive committee.
This was announced at Civic Party's annual general meeting, during which Alan Leong Kah-kit was reelected as party chairman.
There are 16 people in the executive committee, four fewer than the previous term.
Yeung's position as Civic Party leader will be left empty as only directly-elected lawmakers are allowed to be the party leader and as of now, no one fulfills the requirement.
Leong said all lawmakers from the party who were disqualified or resigned will continue to fulfill their responsibilities.
Among the new blood in the executive committee are barrister Jessica Leung Ka-sin, who had planned to run for the canceled Legislative Council election this year, and Matthew Wan Chung-yin, who was a district council candidate for the Kowloon Tong constituency last year.
The other five are all district councilors, namely, JC Cheng Man-kit, Lee Yue-shun, Letitia Wong Man-huen, Lee Ka-ho and Michael Yung Min-chau.
"We are particularly pleased to have many young incumbent serving district councilors joining the new executive committee and will continue to stand with Hong Kong in this very difficult time," Leong said.
