Hongkong Post will pay tribute to martial arts icon Bruce Lee by issuing special stamps on the 80th anniversary of his birth this Friday.
Under the theme "Bruce Lee's Legacy in the World of Martial Arts," the special collection comprises six stamps and two stamp sheetlets, referring to four of Lee's sensational movies - The Big Boss, Fist of Fury, The Way of the Dragon and Game of Death, as well as his philosophy and signature Jeet Kune Do.
The HK$10 and HK$20 stamp sheetlets also portray Lee from various perspectives representing who he was and how he lived his life.
The souvenir pack also comes with a unique design, with the outer box modeled on a nostalgic concept of a clapperboard and a stamp album, six maximum cards and a notebook. A mini-pane will also be issued in parallel so kung fu fans can enjoy scenes from Lee's movies.
"As one of the most popular icons in modern history, the legendary martial arts master Bruce Lee still inspires people worldwide more than 47 years after his passing," the post office said.
"His great achievements transcend territories, times and disciplines. His charisma radiated from the silver screen, his prowess amazed the martial arts community, his profound legacy lives on in the hearts of many."
