8,000 join HSBC community event

The HSBC Hong Kong Community Festival 2023 was successfully held at Chater Road Pedestrian Precinct in Central on Sunday, drawing nearly 8,000 visitors.

The festival serves as the annual flagship event of the HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Program.

In 2023, the program has chosen 30 projects that positively impact over 137,000 individuals across all 18 districts of Hong Kong.

Peter Wong Tung-shun, chairman of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation said, "Since 2012, the HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Program has meaningfully touched the lives of more than 7 million people."

"As the largest initiative of its kind in the city, it has built a robust network with local NGOs, and empowered secondary school students to generate innovative ideas to address community needs." Over the years, The Hongkong Bank Foundation has donated HK$270 million to support over 1,400 projects implemented by 240 NGOs through the program.
