ESF Island School has improved its transport arrangements after being blamed for holding students after school for 45 minutes on the first day of the new school term.
But a day after, students said the arrangements have improved - those not taking the school buses got priority to leave the campus.
"We are told that we have to leave the campus in 10 minutes, while those taking the school buses were grouped at the playground before getting on the buses," a student said.
As reported by The Standard yesterday, some parents complained that students were forced to wait for 45 minutes to leave after those taking the school buses had gone.
In response to the complaints, a Zoom meeting was scheduled with the principal, Steven Loggie, to further explain the traffic arrangements. Loggie had talked to the students about the problem as they waited to leave school.
